Dr. Saeed Darvish-Kazem

Dr. Saeed Darvish-Kazem is a non-invasive cardiologist at the William Osler Health System.

He is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Cardiology at McMaster University. He completed his medical school training at the Michael G DeGroote School of Medicine and subsequent internal medicine and cardiology fellowships at McMaster University. He has expertise in health technology and innovation, serving as an advisor for a number of MedTech companies.

His clinical and research interests are in general cardiology, preventative medicine and cardio-oncology. He was the former clinical lead for the Cardio-Oncology program at the William Osler Health System.

 

Dr. Marc Allard

Dr. Marc Allard is a general cardiologist at the William Osler Health System

He completed his medical degree and post graduate training in cardiology at the University of Toronto.

He has been a staff cardiologist at William Osler Health System since 2007. Special interests include invasive cardiology/coronary angiography, heart failure and cardio-oncology.

 

Dr. Sachin Chopra

Dr. Chopra is a general cardiologist at the William Osler Health System. He is focused on providing care to all patients with a variety of cardiac issues including coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular disease and arrhythmia. He completed his Internal Medicine and Cardiology training at McMaster University.

Dr. Chopra has special interest in risk factor modification, cardio-oncology and imaging including echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography and nuclear medicine.

He has privileges at the Brampton Civic Hospital and Etobicoke General Hospital where he regularly provides cardiac intensive care and complex cardiac care for inpatients.

 

Dr. David Borts

Dr. David Borts has been on staff at William Osler Health System, providing cardiac care to our communities for over 30 years. He graduated from McGill University Medical School and completed his training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the University of Toronto.

David has participated in the development and implementation of many of the dramatic changes in the treatment of cardiac disease that have prolonged the quality and duration of life that patients now enjoy.

David’s particular interests are in the management of a variety of cardiac issues that affect older people including cardiac arrhythmias, congestive heart, failure, valvular heart disease and coronary artery disease. He is also interested in the assessment and management of the impact of medications on patients with cardiac disease.

 

Dr. Christopher Reid

Dr. Christopher Reid is a Staff Cardiologist at the William Osler Health System.

He attended medical school and completed his Internal Medicine residency at McGill University. He subsequently completed Cardiology training at the University of Toronto followed by an Advanced Echocardiography fellowship at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He completed additional training in cardio-oncology at the Toronto General Hospital. 

His clinical practice is in general cardiology with a special interest in structural/valvular heart disease as well as chemotherapy and cancer treatment related cardiotoxicity.

 

Dr. Karan Bami

Dr. Karan Bami is a Staff Cardiologist at William Osler Health Centre with additional training in advanced echocardiography and cardio-oncology. 

He attended medical school at McMaster University. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Ottawa, Cardiology training at the University of Toronto, and Echocardiography fellowship at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. 

His areas of interest include valvular cardiology, cardiac effects of cancer treatments, and quality improvement in echocardiography.

 

Dr. Sikander Texiwala

Dr. Sikander Texiwala is a Staff Cardiologist at the William Osler Health System.

Dr. Texiwala completed his B.Sc. (Honours Specialization in Human Biology) graduating with Distinction from the University of Toronto. He obtained his medical degree from the National University of Ireland, University College Cork, School of Medicine in 2015. His post-graduate training in internal medicine and adult cardiology were completed at the University of Toronto followed by subspecialty training in Echocardiography at St. Michael’s Hospital.

His clinical areas of interest include valvular and critical care cardiology, point of care ultrasound and stress echocardiography.

 

Dr. Hassan Masoom

Dr. Hassan Masoom is a staff Cardiologist at William Osler Health System with additional training in advanced Echocardiography.

He attended medical school and completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Toronto. He subsequently completed Cardiology training at McMaster University where he also completed additional fellowships in Advanced Echocardiography and Cardio-oncology.

He has a general Cardiology practice with special interest in structural heart disease and the cardiac sequalae of oncologic diseases and their treatments.

 

Dr. Patrick Ong

Dr. Patrick Ong is a staff Cardiologist at William Osler Health System with additional training in advanced Echocardiography.

He attended medical school and completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Toronto. He subsequently completed Cardiology training at the University of Toronto where he also completed additional fellowship training in Advanced Echocardiography.

He has a general cardiology practice with special interest in structural heart disease.

Dr. Tamanna Chibber

Dr. Tamanna Chibber is a staff Cardiologist at the William Osler Health System with additional training in Advanced Echocardiography.

She attended medical school at the University of Calgary and completed Internal Medicine training at the University of Toronto, followed by Cardiology training at Queen’s University. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Advanced Echocardiography at the Hamilton Health Sciences Centre. 

She has a general cardiology practice with special interest in valvular and structural heart disease
